How to unlock your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1 using UltraSn0w fixer

by Zaib Ali on November 4, 2012

iOS 6.0.1 was released recently and we have already told you how you can jailbreak it using RedSn0w. While RedSn0w can jailbreak the newly release iOS 6.0.1, iPhone Dev-Team has yet to add support for iOS 6.0.1 to its popular unlocking tool UltraSn0w. However if you have upgraded your iPhone to iOS 6.0.1 and want to unlock your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4, there’s a way to do that. In this post we will show you how you can succesfully unlock your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1 using UltraSnow fixer tool available in the Cydia for free, provided your baseband is supported.

Make sure your iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS has one of the following basebands. You can check your device’s baseband by going into Settings > General > About > Modem Firmware.

  • Baseband 01.59.00 (iPhone 4)
  • Baseband 04.26.08 (iPhone 3GS)
  • Baseband 05.11.07 (iPhone 3GS)
  • Baseband 05.13.01 (iPhone 3GS)
  • Baseband 05.12.01 (iPhone 3GS)
  • Baseband 06.15.00 (iPhone 3GS)

Let’s begin and unlock your iPhone 3GS or iPhone 4 running iOS 6.0.1.

Step 1. First of all jailbreak iOS 6.0.1 on your device using this guide.

Step 2. Once your device is jailbroken and running Cydia, Open Cydia and tap on the ‘Manage’ tab located at the bottom of your screen.

Step 3. Go to sources from the menu and add as a new source.

Step 4. After adding the repo mentioned above, search for ‘UltraSn0w’ in Cydia and install it.

Step 5. After installing UltraSn0w search for ‘UltraSnow Fixer for 6.0′ and install it.

Step 6. After installing UltraSnow Fixer tool on your device, reboot it and now you should be able to get signals from any SIM on your device.

For the people who wants to unlock any ATT phones, go google attiphoneunlocking, they unlock any model and firmware. I did mine there.

Tried some sites, factory-unlockcom is slow and crappy shit, didn’t actually unlock my phone. attiphoneunlockingcom is worth the money and way faster, didn’t believe they really did it in 2 hours.
uberunlockcom is not factory unlock, but acceptable.

    • konred

they surprised me with a message after only 1 hours of purchasing it, fascinating speed, worth the money for sure.
