How to install themes on jailbroken iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad

iOS by default does not allows users to install and apply custom third-party themes on their iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad. You cannot change anything on your iOS device other the wallpaper of the homescreen and the lockscreen, but if you are jailbroken you can fairly customize your iOS device and apply themes, new icons, customized lockscreens and much more. The process of installing and applying new themes and other customizations isn’t as hard as you might expect. Here in this post we will tell you how to install themes and other visual customizations on an iOS devices.

1 ) First of all you need to jailbreak your device (Follow these steps). Skip this step if you are already jailbroken.

2 ) Once you have Cydia installed on your iOS device, open it and go to the search section of Cydia. You can find search button at the bottom right of your screen.

3 ) In the search field, type ‘WinterBoard’. Once WinterBoard appears in your search results, tap on it and install.

4 ) Once the installation is complete, reboot your device.

5 ) Now you should see the WinterBoard app icon on your homescreen. Once WinterBoard is installed, Open Cydia again and search for your favorite themes. You can look for themes of your interest by typing in the search field. For example if you are looking for a theme like OS X then search for it in Cydia.

6 ) Once you have found a theme you would like to apply on your device, install it and respring (reboot).

7 )  Now go to the WinterBoard app we just installed, and tap on the theme you have downloaded from Cydia. Exit Winterboard by pressing the home button and you will see your desired theme will be applied on your device.

Similarly you can search and download other customizations on your device from Cydia. You can also download themes that have customized icons, lockscreen, and other parts of iOS bundled in them.
