Popular iPad app Flipboard now available for iPhone and iPod touch

Popular RSS reader Flipboard for iPad has received a major update in the App Store that makes it a universal applications. Yes, that means you can now download this awesome RSS reader on your iPhone and iPod touch too. Previously this well-loved app was available for iPad only but now it has become available for all three iOS devices and with all its glory. Flipboard has added all iPad features to pocket edition of the app, so you can enjoy the application on your tablet as well as on your phone.

What makes Flipboard standout in the crowd of RSS readers already available in the App Store is it’s simplicity and beauty. The iPad version of the app was named one of TIME’s top 50 innovations for this year. Flipboard gathers everything shared with you from Facebook updates, Tumblr posts, Instagram photos, and articles from the web and presents it in a magazine form. You can add whatever site you like to read and sort them in categories. You can use the Read It Later feature of the app to save articles and read later.

You can also share, comment, and browse photos and articles on your social networking accounts using Flipboard app.

Another cool feature that has been added to the app, and is exclusive to iPhone version for now is Cover Stories. It gathers a selection of interesting articles and photos that are being shared with you. Team Flipboard has promised to brings this feature to iPad version of the app in near future.

If you have a Flipboard account, then you can sign in to it and all of your data will be synced to your other iOS devices automatically.
