The wait is finally over folks! Chronic Dev Team has released the untethered jailbreak for iPhone 4S and iPad 2 and it is now available for download. The download is available for Mac users only at this moment and Windows and Linux version are expected to arrive soon. The tool is called Absinthe and it untethered jailbreaks iOS 5.0 and 5.0.1 on iPhone 4S and iOS 5.0.1 on iPad 2. This jailbreak is based on the exploit found by iOS hacker @pod2g in iOS 5.
Download Absinthe for Mac here. We will update this post as soon as Windows and Linux versions are made available.
