Tweetbot for iPad now available in the App Store

Everyone’s favorite Twitter client for iOS, Tweetbot received a major update for its iPhone version that brought several new features to an already feature filled Twitter client. But that’s not all Tapbots had up on their sleeves for iOS users. Right after the release of the Tweetbot 2.0 version, Tweetbot for iPad became available in the App Store too. Tweetbot for iPad has been released as a seperate app, that means you have to pay an extra $2.99 to get the official iPad version even if you already own it for the iPhone. This may sound bad, but if you use Twitter on your iOS devices a lot and like Tweetbot, these $2.99 are worth spending.

Tweetbot for iPad has a similar UI to its iPhone counterpart, but follows a different approach then official Twitter client. The app changes itself according to the position of your iPad, for example in the landscape mode you Twitter stream appears in a wider panel and has a list of shortcuts on the left. When you turn you iPad back to the portrait mode these shortcuts changed into icons just like the iPhone app.

Tweetbot for iPad has the swiping gestures found in the iPhone app. Tweetbot also features the readability mode that allows users to read any linked webpages in a clean distraction free environment. Inline images feature has also been added to the app so that you can view the images attached to the tweet without having to click on them.

Some of the features of Tweetbot for iPad include:

◆ Multiple Timelines. Quickly switch between your lists as your main timeline.
◆ Smart Gestures. Use Twitter more efficiently with time-saving and configurable gestures.
◆ Native Push Notifications.
◆ Customizable Navigation. Hide the navigation tabs that you never use.
◆ Support for multiple services like Read it Later, Instapaper, Cloudapp URL Shortening.
◆ Save drafts, add locations and POI’s, attach photos/videos, manage your lists, and much more.
