Rockstar’s Max Payne Mobile for iOS hits the App Store – Download Now!

It seems like Rockstar is on a mission of porting it’s best games to the gaming platforms of today. It was just a few months ago when it released Grand Theft Auto 3 for iOS devices, the game was a tremendous success and really raised the bar of how an ideal iOS game should be like. Now Rockstar has released another of it’s most popular and award-winning titles for iOS devices that is Max Payne. For those of you who don’t know, Max Payne is Rockstar’s immensely popular third-person shooter game that was released back in 2001 for consoles and PCs.

Max Payne for iOS features similar gameplay as the original title, the only difference is that it is optimized for iPhone and iPad’s touch screen display. The plot and story of the game is same too.

A fugitive undercover cop framed for murder, hunted by cops and the mob, Max is a man with his back against the wall, fighting a battle he cannot hope to win. Max Payne is a relentless story-driven game about a man on the edge, fighting to clear his name while struggling to uncover the truth about his slain family amongst a myriad of plot-twists.

The groundbreaking original cinematic action-shooter, Max Payne introduced the concept of Bullet Time® in videogames. Through its stylish slow-motion gunplay combined with a dark and twisted story, Max Payne redefined the action-shooter genre.

Max Payne Mobile for iOS devices features support for iPhone and iPad’s Retina Display, so although the game works on non-Retina Display devices, it looks far more better and detailed on iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and on the new iPad.

Max Payne is a universal app, so you can download and play it on your iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad, iPad 2, iPad 3, and iPod touch 4th generation. We are not sure whether the game works on iPod touch 3rd generation or not, as it is not listed on game’s iTunes description page.

Max Payne for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch is available for $2.99 in the App Store
