Apple recently released OS X Lion Preview 3 to developers, this new update of Mountain Lion brings a very important feature for the Notifications Center called ‘Do Not Disturb’. What this feature does is that it allows users to block incoming notifications when they don’t want to be disturbed. Do not Disturb button allows users to focus on the work they are currently doing by turning the annoying alerts off. In my opinion, it is a very useful feature that will improve the user experience for OS X users.
As OS X Mountain Lion’s Notification Center is inspired by iOS, it would not be wrong to ask Apple to bring this feature to iOS devices. It will be equally useful for iOS users, especially on the iPad, that is increasingly used in work places, schools, and for creative purposes.
We really hope that Apple will add the ‘Do Not Disturb’ button to iOS’s Notification Center among other new features in iOS 6. Also, let’s see how much time the jailbreak community takes to bring this awesome feature to iOS devices unofficially via Cydia.
