Out of no where Yahoo! has released a new web browser for iOS devices and it’s pretty good. The new browser aims at joining web browsing and search experience together in one single application. Axis features a dedicated home page for users that displays favorite sites so that users can access them immediately. Axis also provides visual snapshots of webpages in the search results that allows users to preview the site before visiting it.
Along with the mobile app for iOS, Yahoo! has released plug-ins for popular desktop browsers including Safari and Chrome, to connect the online experience for users across all of their devices. These plug-ins automatically sync your bookmarks and visited webpages to the desktop app. As Axis is an universal application for both iPhone and iPad, the bookmarks you have made on your iPhone will be transfered to your iPad and your desktop browser automatically.
