Google announces 3D Maps for iOS devices. Coming Soon

At it’s Maps event, Google’s Peter Birch has stressed that his company is committed to bringing improvements to the Google Maps for iOS and other platforms even when it is expected that Apple will drop Google’s Map service from iOS and will introduce it’s own at WWDC. Google has announced the 3D Maps experience for both Android and iOS. Google also announced offline maps for Android, but didn’t make the same announcement for iOS which is really disappointing, as millions of iOS users use Google Maps on daily basis and offline maps could have been really useful.

Google even demonstrated 3D Maps on the Google Earth app running on an iPad during the event.

Initially the Google Maps will feature 3D maps of several cities of the US. Google plans to cover more cities around the world by the end of this year.

You can watch the whole event below.
