Apple announces Siri for iPad along with new features in iOS 6

At the WWDC 2012 event Apple has announced new features for it’s voice assistant for iOS, but more importantly it has announced that it is bringing full Siri to iPad. As rumored, Siri’s iPad experience slightly differs from iPhone, as it does not takes up the whole screen and instead runs at the bottom as you can see in the image below. New features included in Siri in iOS 6 are:

  • Integration with OpenTable — “I can tap here to make reservations.”
  • Sports integration – ”Siri also knows about basketball. Who is taller, LeBron or Kobe?”
  • Integration with Rotten Tomatoes – It can now answers queries about movies and actors.
  • And more.
