Following the speculation regarding whether Apple will host two separate announcement events for iPhone and the rumored iPad mini, AllThingsD reports that it has confirmed from it’s sources that Apple will debut both of it’s new devices in separate events instead of just one. The company will announce the new iPhone in the event that is scheduled to take place on September 12. Then after the iPhone has been released, Apple will hold another event to announce the iPad mini. This report by AllThingsD confirms what everyone has already been talking about. The iPad mini event is expected to take place in the first two weeks of October, and the device is thought to hit the market after that, just in time for this year’s holiday season.
Only after the next generation iPhone is out the door and on sale will Apple announce the smaller iPad it’s been working on. That device, which is expected to have a display of less than eight inches, will be uncrated at a second special event, which sources said is currently scheduled for October.
The new iPhone i,e expected to get announced next month will most likely feature a larger screen with new resolution, thinner design, better cameras, faster processors, new nano sim card slot, new dock connector, LTE support, and more.
iPad mini is expected to feature a 7.85-inch screen, iPod touch like design, new dock connector, and be priced at around $250-$299.
