Looks like Apple’s celebrating an ‘Update day’ today. First it released iOS 6.0 update, then updated several of it’s App Store apps and now has released more of them. iMovie, Garageband, and iPhoto apps for iOS have all received all major update in the App Store that bring many new features and improvements to the app.
iMovie for iOS has been updated to add new trailers including Adrenaline, Coming of Age, and Teen. After updating users will be able to add photos to any trailer and have then animate with the Ken Burns effect automatically. The app now allows users to play clips in the video browser before adding them to their project. Users can now create a slideshow by sharing photos from iPhoto app for iOS that has also received a major update today. Read more for the full change log.
The update for Garageband brings several new features including the ability for users to create custom ringtones and alerts for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch on iOS 6 or later. Users can now import songs from their Music library and even play or record with GarageBand in the background while using other apps. The update also adds performance and stability improvements.
Perhaps the app that received the biggest update today is iPhoto for iOS. Apple has added support for iPod touch 4th and 5th Generation for the app. The update has added six new ink effects including chalk and palette knife, ability for users to edit images up to 36.5 megapixels on iPhone 5 and iPad 3, ability to tag albums, ability to add full resolution photos via iTunes File Sharing, and much more.
