Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone app brings advanced image editing to iPhone and iPod touch

The Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone app is now available in the App Store. Previously the app which brings the Photoshop experience to post PC devices was only available for iPad and Android tablets but now Adobe has released the tool for both iPhone, iPod touch and Android smartphones. The app features core Photoshop features and allows users to edit their images and apply effects while on the go. It also allows users to save the edited images locally as well as share them on the internet.

The Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone app just like the iPad version brings features found on the desktop version of the popular image editing software including layers, filter, selection tools, and adjustments. Along with editing the Photoshop Touch for Phone app also enables users to add text, apply strokes, and add drop shadows and fades to their images. The app also has a ‘Camera Fill’ feature that can be used o fill an area on a layer with an image taken from device’s camera. Users can edit images sized up to 12-megapixels.

The app has all the features of the tablet version and also allows users to continue a project they started on their iOS device on the desktop using Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe is currently offering a free membership to Creative Cloud with 2GB of cloud storage.

According to the iTunes description page the Photoshop Touch for Phone app is only supported by iPhone 4S, iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5th generation. It is not a universal app and you will have to buy the iPad version available for $9.99 separately here.

The Adobe Photoshop Touch for Phone app for iPhone and iPod touch is available in the App Store for $4.99.
