Although iOS falls short of Android when it comes to worldwide market share, a new report by Net Applications indicates that iOS dominates the web and has 54.65% market share worldwide. Apple’s iOS accounts more than half of the visits to 40,000 different websites where as Android only has 16.26% market share presence. Android’s market share is even less than that of Java ME that has 18.52% share worldwide.
Apple’s iOS runs on iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches and these devices are known for their internet capabilities. Android strongly competes Apple iPhone but it does not have any strong competitors for Apple’s iPod touch and iPad in the market.
