WWDC 2023 will take place from June 5 to 9 in Apple Park and in its inaugural keynote we will know the news of all operating systems including watchOS 10, iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. Many speculated about the presentation of virtual reality glasses in the WWDC as an element of surprise but Ming Chi-Kuo has thrown down any hint of hope. Apparently Apple could have delayed the mass production of its virtual reality glasses, what could be the umpteenth delay, which would mean not hearing any of the glasses at WWDC.

Production problems, economic instability, loss of confidence in the product… we could tell this news in any of the months for three years. In the first place, the delay in production would mean not having any presentation at WWDC 2023. And consequently, the delay in production would lead to a lower forecast of glasses units throughout 2023, around 200,000 or 300,000 units (previously half a million glasses were expected in 2023).
The reasons for the delay? All and none for sure. Kuo’s speculation is the economic instability, little feedback from the market, the specifications of the product itself, the preparation of realityOS and also the preparation of the developers for the integration of the ecosystem. We will see if this is finally true and we will have to wait even longer to see some sign of the Apple Glasses or everything continues as planned in Cupertino.
