Apple is working on the iPad Air 6: when will it be launched and what will be new?

However, for a few years now this has stopped being the case and beyond the iPhone in September, iPads and Macs are more unpredictable. In fact, according to the latest rumors Apple would be working on the iPad Air 6 with new specifications and a change of processor of which it is not yet known whether it will be the M2 or the M3, everything will depend on its launch.

The iPad Air 6, in Apple’s sights

We haven’t heard anything new about iPads for a long time and it seems that the machinery at Apple is starting to mesh again. However, we carry months hearing about a minor update to the iPad Air. This would therefore be the iPad Air 6, which would slightly increase its specifications without producing a major change in this new generation.

It is evident that Apple will introduce a change to the processor in the iPad Air 6. Let’s remember that the 5th generation includes the M1 chip and it would be logical to think that it will receive an update. But what is unknown is whether Apple will opt for the M2 or M3 chip, Everything will depend on the moment in which they decide to launch the product. In addition to the interior, Apple could introduce new features to both the front and rear cameras on the iPad Air 6, in addition to the new features that the latest iPad Pros already received, such as Wi-Fi 6E connectivity or Bluetooth 5.3.

As for the date, there is no real information surrounding it. One of the well-known analysts, Ming Chi-Kuo, believes that it is unlikely that Apple will launch the iPad Air 6 this year, therefore waiting until 2024. However, another analyst published on a Chinese social network that Apple intends to launch this device this same month of October, leaving aside the mini and Pro models this year.
