After two weeks with the first developer beta of iOS 16.5 Apple has launched the second beta officially. iOS 16.5 may be the last major update before WWDC which will begin on June 5. Among the main novelties of the first version was the addition of a Siri command to record screen or the integration of a sports feed in Apple News. The second version of iOS 16.5 has not included major changes compared to the previous version and is thus heading for its future launch, which could be throughout the month of May. We tell you everything after the jump.
Second versions of betas of all operating systems already available
Apple has also taken the opportunity to update all the versions it has in beta for developers. In addition to iOS 16.5, iPadOS 16.5 and watchOS 9.5, the second betas of tvOS 16.5 and macOS Ventura 13.4. As we mentioned, these may be the last major updates for the resolution of the current operating systems and welcome the new range of renewed software that we will see at WWDC 2023.
The build of the version of this second beta of iOS 16.5 is the 20F5039e and so far no news detected compared to the first version. Nor have any news of interest been included in the second beta of watchOS 9.5, nor in the first version, so they will be updates that do not imply major changes in all our devices.
It is clear that if there is something that has been left out, they’ll save it all for iOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14. Without a doubt, we are in the most exciting months for developers and, by extension, also for users with a view to the arrival of new technological integrations in Apple products with the arrival of new software.
