Apple Working On ‘Apple Studio Display’ With 7K Resolution

Apple is said to be working on an “Apple Studio Display,” which will have a resolution of 7K, which will be greater than the present ProDisplayXDR.

The tech giant had previously been rumored to be creating a ProDisplayXDR replacement. According to a fresh source, it will be known as Apple’s new Studio Display, but little more information is available.

It’s unclear whether it’ll be a straight substitute for the previous ProDisplayXDR or simply a higher-resolution alternative in the same line. There are also no details on the price or when the game will be launched.

Apple Studio Display Will Be A Replacement

J327 is said to be the internal codename for the display. A13 CPU was earlier rumored to be incorporated inside a display with that codename.

This J327 display with a specific Apple Silicon CPU will be a 7K one, according to 9to5mac. With a screen size of 32 inches and a resolution of 6,016 pixels by 3,384 pixels, the current Pro Display XDR is a 6K monitor.

Apple could make the ” Apple Studio Display” in the same 32-inch size, but with an increased pixel density of 245ppi. Alternatively, it might be aiming for the same 218ppi as the current display but on an even bigger screen, such as 36 inches.

LG is said to be developing a trio of monitors, according to previous rumors about Apple Studio making new screens. Apple was said to be working on a lower-cost version of the ProDisplayXDR in January 2021.

No pricing information was provided, although the existence of plans for a display less expensive than the $4,999 Pro Display XDR was confirmed in December 2021.
