Here's how Accessibility and Artificial Intelligence features could boost the Apple experience

Apple is clear that Artificial Intelligence aims to turn the company into a better world, where people can have a higher and better quality of life. This approach is one of the founding pillars of Apple. Therefore, in this post we are going to highlight how the Californian company seeks to improve people's lives by following this strategy.

Apple's big push towards artificial intelligence

The main analysts in the Apple world, such as Mark Gurman (who announced that Apple would not make Keynote in March), have highlighted on more than one occasion that the largest iOS update in the company's history is expected. The changes that are presented in iOS will gradually be included in macOS as well.

  • A revamped version of Siri, smarter and able to take advantage of a new AI system that incorporates large language model technology.
  • AI integration into the Messages app that can ask “auto-complete questions and sentences.”
  • New AI features for Apple Music to create “automatically generated playlists.”
  • Integration of generative AI into iWork apps, including Keynote and Pages.
  • Adding generative AI features to Xcode to help developers “write new apps faster.”

A great revolution in accessibility thanks to AI

One of the measures Apple appears to be working on is the ability for users to move the Magic Mouse via turbocharged, AI-powered voice control.

Other functions that the company could be working on are the following:

  • Dictation enhanced with Natural Language Processing (NLP): NLP could significantly improve the accuracy of dictation, due to the software's ability to understand the context and integration of the user. Thanks to this function, we will be able to obtain more accurate transcriptions, even in noisy environments and with complex vocabulary.
  • Adaptive command functionality through machine learning (ML)– Machine learning algorithms can learn from a user's interactions, adapting commands and responses to current needs.
  • Predictive text and autocorrect: AI can deliver enhanced predictive text options with a lower volume of self-correcting errors in real time, streamlining communication and reducing the need for corrections.
  • Context-aware support: By analyzing the user's old commands, AI can provide context-aware assistance, anticipating needs and offering different relevant options, thus leading to a faster, more accurate and improved Dictation experience.
  • Multilingual support: AI can offer multilingual support, allowing you to talk to everyone without language being an issue. This measure is similar to the one implemented by Samsung in its Galaxy S24.
  • Custom voice recognition: Apple's AI can improve personalized voice control. In this way, in the case of people who have non-standard speech, AI can learn to recognize and understand their canons to transcribe their speech in a much more personal and precise way.

These are just some of the measures that Apple seems to be implementing in its new software in iOS 18. Do you find them interesting? If everything they say comes true, we will be facing one of the best AI on the market, without a doubt.
