iOS 16.4 RC Released For Apple Developers

Apple today released the release of candidate copies of forthcoming iOS 16.4 RC and iPadOS 16.4 upgrades to developers for experimental reasons, with the program arriving a week after the debut of the fourth betas.

The RCs designate the software’s most recent iteration, which will soon be made available to the general public. After installing the relevant profiles from the Developer Center, registered developers can get the iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 upgrades wirelessly. Beta updates will no longer need a profile; they can now be made directly on a device using an Apple ID that is connected to a developer account. For those who are still on iOS 15, Apple has also released a beta version of iOS 15.7.4.

iOS 16.4 RC Has New Emojis

New emoji characters have been added to iOS 16.4 RC and iPadOS 16.4, such as the shaking face, pink heart, donkey, sky blue heart, moose, jellyfish, blackbird, hyacinth, ginger, and others. There are a total of 31 new emoji, including variations for the left and right hands in various skin tones.

iOS 16.4 RC for the iPhone and iPad, Safari Web Alerts have been added, and you may now get them from sites that have been introduced to your device’s Home Screen. Web Push notifications function exactly like any other iOS notification and are identical to the alerts you receive from webpages on the Mac.

Due to Apple’s reintroduction of the HomeKit architectural upgrade, users can now add websites to the Home Screen using third-party browsers like Chrome. There are additional tweaks to Podcasts, minor adjustments to Apple Music, new choices for Shortcuts, a restored page-flipping effect for Apple Books, and more, with a complete list of new capabilities in iOS 16.4 and iPadOS 16.4 accessible in our features guide.
