The water resistance of each Apple Watch depending on the model

If you're still using a first-generation Apple Watch, which is unlikely, you should keep in mind that this model is splash- and water-resistant, but Apple advises against fully submerging it in liquids. The Apple Watch Series 1 is not designed for intensive water activities and therefore contact with water should be avoided in situations that involve total immersion.

From Apple Watch Series 2 onwards water resistant at shallow depths

The Apple Watch Series 2, 3, and 4 models are slightly more advanced in terms of water resistance. Apple Watch Series 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 models have a water resistance of 50 meters.

The Apple Watch Ultra is the one with the most water resistance

The Apple Watch Ultra stands out from all previous models, being the model with the greatest water resistance. It is water resistant up to 100 meters deep, also suitable for speed water sports and recreational diving up to 40 meters.
