If you thought that the HomePod had passed away, you were wrong and flat. The surprise when Apple recovered the audio device was huge. I think few people were betting that the company would raise from the dead a device that had been removed and replaced with a smaller one. And yet, there we have it, fighting again and the American company is not willing for the same thing to happen again. In fact, it seems that at the beginning of 2024 we will see a new model with a built-in 7-inch screen.
In 2017 Apple announced the addition of a new device. It ended up being called HomePod and it promised that we would have spectacular audio with previously unpublished functions. It seemed that everything was going to turn out very well, but only four years later, the American company decided that it was time to shelve the matter and launch a new, smaller and apparently more practical model. However, in 2023 the company has decided that it is time to revive this concept.
With the same design and the same colors, the only thing that changes is the interior chip, but otherwise, it is as if we have gone back 6 years. The point is that it seems Apple wants the HomePod to become an indispensable and that is why the rumors indicate that it is more than likely that we will have a new model with a 7-inch touch screen next year.
Ming-Chi Kuo affirms that next year, at the beginning, to be more exact, a new model will be launched that this time will have a new design. The main difference will be that new 7-inch screen, which will allow a tighter integration with other Apple hardware products, marking a significant shift in the company’s smart home strategy.
