According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman’s Power On newsletter, Apple is about to undertake the third phase of eliminating Intel chips from its devices and replacing them with its M-series processors. While Apple previously released the new M1 Pro and M1 Max CPUs with the MacBook Pros last year, it is likely to release a new M2 chipset in more MacBooks, coupled with a revised version of the M1 Max for even more powerful performance.
In 2022, Apple could release the new MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac Pro models. With the updates and other rumors, it appears that the Apple March event will take place in the spring. Furthermore, while Apple may announce a new iPhone SE 5G and an iPad during the event, followers may see at least one Mac model revealed. Apple is also planning a separate announcement event for the new Macbooks and iMacs in June.
