After the release of iOS 16.1.1 a few days ago, Apple continues with its pace of betas and prepares the release of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2. These new operating systems will include great innovations presented at WWDC22 but that were leaving Apple’s plans for the initial version. In fact, the second beta of these new versions was released a week ago but a few hours ago Apple launched the third beta of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2. Developers who have the developer profile installed on their devices can now update over a Wi-Fi network to check what’s new in this third beta.

Third beta of iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 now available

iOS 16.2 and iPadOS 16.2 introduce big news that Apple left in the dark with the launch of the initial version of its operating systems. These functions have already been tested by developers in the first betas of iOS 16 in the summer and now with the first two betas of version 16.2 that have been with us for several weeks.

A few hours ago Apple officially published the third beta for developers which can be achieved through automatic download from the device Settings. This will be the case as long as the device has a developer profile installed that can be downloaded from the Developer Center, as updates to the betas of all Apple operating systems have always done.

Among the main novelties, already seen in the first betas, we find the app Freeform, Apple’s official collaborative work application with which several users can work on the same document including notes, drawings, in the truest style of great applications like Miró. Also included is the support for external displays the Stage Manager feature of iPadOS 16. This feature allows you to port part of the iPad screen with functional apps to an external display.
