Pro Display XDR For Mac- What Is Apple Planning?

Although Apple currently has not integrated it in its Mac silicon transition, hardcore fans of the company have been asking about the Pro Display XDR. Currently, the two-year transition of the company to own its silicon is finally done- with just a single product left- the Mac Pro. Incidentally, both of the products were previously introduced by the company during the WWDC19 and were primarily aimed at the more demanding consumers of the company. There has been a chart made for the plans for Apple for the next models.

Pro Display XDR Could Be Changed With A 7K Panel

With the exception of the Pro Display XDR, it was back in November of 2020 that the company had decided to initiate its two-year transition to its own silicon production. The company went on to wrap up the process by the March of 2022- after it introduced the new Mac Studio- which was reported heavily by the media. By the end of the event of the Peek Performance, Apple also went ahead and teased that a Mac Pro with its own silicon production was currently in the works. This news comes despite the company not really having much else to share currently.

There were reports that the company was currently in the works for another display- which would replace the Pro Display XDR with a panel of 7k. Although it is quite unclear that the new Apple Studio Display would be a like-for-like replacement for the XDR model, it does seem pretty likely that the new display will have a 7k resolution. On the other hand, the XDR model currently has a 32-inch 6k panel with 218 pixels per inch.

Amidst all the uncertainties- something seems pretty clear. Currently, Apple is working on a new Mac Pro and yet another Pro Display XDR. The speed of production would depend on the interest of the consumers- as it usually is.
