The comparison: iPhone 15 or Samsung Galaxy S24

Recently we have seen how Apple has opted for the Vision Pro and new materials in its devices such as the Titiano. However, the South Korean firm Samsung has not been left behind, also betting on titanium in its highest range, and of course, including Artificial Intelligence in it.

We put the two flagships of Samsung and Apple face to face, we face the Galaxy S24 and the iPhone 15, which will be better? Above all, we are going to show you what the differences are, and which device will best adapt to your needs. Is it true competition for the iPhone?

Galaxy S24 / iPhone 15

We start by comparing the basic, entry models. We have similar screens, from the 6.1 of the iPhone 15 to the 6.2 inches of the Galaxy. In this case, Samsung wins by a landslide, with its 120Hz and FHD+ resolution, while the iPhone's OLED panel, which is also manufactured by Samsung, remains at a traditional refresh rate and a slightly lower resolution.

Regarding hardware, The Galaxy S24 equips 8GB of RAM, that is, 2GB more than in the case of the iPhone 15, we find the Exynos 2400 Deca-Core processor of our own design in the case of Samsung, and the well-known Apple A16 Bionic, which is clearly marked as one of the best processors in power, performance and autonomy on the market.

Regarding storage, 128/256/512 GB versions for iPhone 15, while the Galaxy S24 stagnates at 128/2546 GB.

They also differ quite a bit in cameras, 48MP (f/1.6) for the main one of the iPhone 15 and 50MP (f/1.8) for the main one of the Samsung Galaxy S24, very similar numbers. We have a 12MP (f/2.4) and 12MP (f/2.2) Ultra Wide Angle in the case of the Galaxy S24, this second device being the one that should (on paper) offer a better result. Only the Galaxy S24 enjoys better and higher magnification with the x3 telephoto sensor, also 12MP. We close with the front, where both share 12MP, with in theory, f/1.9 for the iPhone 15 and f/2.2 for the Galaxy S24.

Both are equally water resistant with IP68 certification, FaceID facial recognition on the iPhone, fingerprint sensor integrated into the screen for the Galaxy. In terms of weight, the Galaxy S24 is somewhat lighter with its 167 grams, compared to the 171 grams of aluminum on the iPhone 15. Finally, the price, between €959 and €1,339 in the case of the iPhone, and from €909 to €969 in the case of the Galaxy.

Galaxy S24+ / iPhone 15 Pro

We now go to the intermediate version of the Samsung Galaxy S24, which is already beginning to grow. We are going to give you the data of the South Korean model, and however we will overlook more in the case of the iPhone 15 Pro, since the only palpable difference with the Max version is the size of the screen. In that sense, we have a panel of 6.7″ AMOLED with QHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, remembering that they are the same panels that Apple mounts, but with higher resolution.

A version with the processor can be purchased Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 or with the previously mentioned Samsung Exynos 2400, while in Apple's Pro range we find the A17 Bionic. Little competition, without detracting from the Samsung model, since the processor of the Pro version of the iPhone is undoubtedly the most powerful and balanced on the market.

The Samsung model continues to beat in RAM memory, since we find 12 GB in the case of the South Korean device and “only” 8 GB in the case of the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max. Greater range of storage between both devices is also similar, 256/512 GB for the Galaxy S24, while the iPhone 15 Pro is offered from 256B and reaches 1TB of total memory.

Galaxy S24 Ultra / iPhone 15 Pro Max

The two jewels in the crown, both with similar panels, 0.1 inches more for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, yes, much more resolution in the South Korean, which has QuadHD+, while the iPhone remains at only FullHD+, yes , both devices with variable refresh rates of up to 120Hz.
