The Cupertino company has just launched the new versions of iOS 16.3 in its beta phase, that is, the second. The novelties of this beta are few but very interesting, mainly improving the operation of this version of iOS. As usual, the update to the second beta of iOS 16.3 is currently available exclusively for developers.
However, it is to be expected that in the coming days Apple will decide to make the iOS 16.3 beta public in order to improve the user experience and obtain a greater volume of analysis of the data related to the firmware.
Despite everything, iOS 16.3 comes with hidden news, For the moment, the security key system has been made compatible and little else.
Hand in hand with this update will also come iPadOS 16.3 Beta 2, tvOS 16.3 Beta 2, watchOS 9.3 Beta 2 and of course, macOS 13.2.
Contrast with the previous version, where we could find the new native application Freeform, that will help us manage the content, raising the possibilities to the maximum with respect to annotations. In addition, the possibilities of the lock screen have been improved and expanded by adding new Widgets and settings in the Always-On Display.
Also, Apple will integrate the new HomeKit operating architecture into iOS 16.2, Apple’s connected home environment that will theoretically improve performance, efficiency, and compatibility with available accessories. This is in addition to the full integration with Matter that was already promised with the arrival of iOS 16.1 but from which we users have not seen direct benefit at the moment.
There are few new features in iOS 16.3, so we are not going to focus more on its deployment. As always, we’re testing this new version and we’ll let you know as fast as we can with any surprises we find.
