Rumors strongly point to the arrival of new products in the month of October. Although we do not know if we will finally have a special Apple event, we do know that within Cupertino the machinery is moving to present new products and market them in a short space of time. On other occasions, October has always been a month dedicated to the iPad and it is very likely that we will see new generations of some of these models. That is why some of those possibly upgradeable products in the coming weeks are not recommended for your current purchase since they would be bought and in a few weeks they would be outdated.
Apple could launch new products in October
It is very likely that the main novelties of a possible event in the month of October focus on the iPad. It’s been a year now that we haven’t heard any news about some models and this month could be the right one to launch the new generation. The arrival of Black Friday kicks off Christmas shopping for the month of December and that could trigger sales.
Rumors point to the iPad Pro 11-inch and 12.9-inch will be updated. Therefore, the purchase of the current generation is not recommended. The new generation will not bring design innovations but it is very likely that we will see the incorporation of the M2 chip, also introduced in the latest generation MacBook Air, which would improve performance and anticipate the arrival of Stage Manager in iPadOS 16.

If you are thinking of buying a 10.2-inch “low-cost” iPad, we also recommend against it. Apple is also likely to introduce a new standard iPad with a new 10.5-inch screen. This new generation would maintain Touch ID, like the current one, although some rumors also point to the definitive removal of the Home button, bringing the design of the Pro to the standard model and incorporating Touch ID in the lock button. The introduction of USB-C as a charging and data transfer connector is also expected, like the rest of the models.
If we talk about Mac, our recommendations, and that of the rest of the experts, is to postpone the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro purchases before the imminent renovation of these devices in the month of October, with the incorporation of the M1 Pro and M1 Max chips. The renewal of the macmini with the arrival also of the M2 and M2 Pro chip. And finally, we will also postpone the purchase of the mac pro who could receive M1Ultra chip already introduced in Mac Studio.
