The new iPhone 16 will have more screen
According to information that analyst Jeff Pu has shared in a letter to shareholders, which is echoed in the English-speaking news outlet 9to5Mac, the next iPhone models will experience improvements in the wireless connectivity modem, in the processors in the camera sensors and also in the screens
They begin by explaining that the new iPhones will be 0.2 inches larger, both in the case of the 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch models. This has been known, in addition to the letter to shareholders, from Jeff Pu’s “sources in Apple’s supply chains,” according to 9to5Mac.
Faster wireless connections
In the same way that in this generation we have already learned that we have faster Qualcomm modems, in the next iPhone 16, this leap in quality will increase. According to what they explain from 9to5Mac, “the iPhone 16 Pro will be capable of reaching even faster speeds, whether on Wi-Fi or 5G.”
Regarding the component that will make it possible, “Pu speculates that the new iPhones will come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon X75 modem, which allows 5G downloads of up to 7.5 Gbps.” Regarding Wi-Fi connections, we have already seen that the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max incorporate the Wi-Fi 6e standard. The iPhone 16, for its part, will make the leap to Wi-Fi 7, which allows downloads four times faster than Wi-Fi 6, they explain.
The cameras are also improving
The iPhone cameras are one of their strongest points, and also one of the most powerful claims. To start, the new sensor that allows 5x zoom, exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro Max, will also come to the iPhone 16 Pro.
The Ultra wide angle lenses of the iPhone 16 Pro will be 48 Megapixels. Which does not happen right now, since they are of lower resolution, even in the Pro and Pro Max models.
What to expect in processors
Looking at the next iPhone 16, “Apple is expected to introduce a less powerful version of the A17 chip, instead of using the A17 Pro,” they explain. Also for the base models, an increase in RAM memory is expected, which would become 8GB, as opposed to the 6GB that the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus currently have.
